I’m a visual designer with fifteen years of experience. I love white space, ampersands and laughing at old print ads.
EXPERIENCE
Three Apples Studio | April 1995 — present
Three Apples Studio is my freelance creative company. Over the years I’ve provided web and graphic design services including concept, website design/redesign, advertising and marketing for online and print, and identity design/refresh.
Riptown Media | Senior Designer (contract) | November 2007 — September 2010
At Riptown, I designed online and print ads, landing pages, email programs and a variety of other marketing initiatives for their entertainment clients. (This was a contract position and I worked part-time both on and off-site)
Grey Interactive | Associate Creative Director | January 2004 — May 2005
As ACD, I was the design lead for key interactive clients such as Pedigree and Dare Foods. During my tenure at Grey I was responsible for two complete redesigns of pedigree.com. In addition to designing successful websites and campaigns, I also spearheaded new business initiatives. Other responsibilities included mentoring and directing a small team of designers.
Grey Interactive | Senior Art Director | March 2003 — January 2004
As senior design lead for the interactive division, I designed websites, online marketing programs and ad campaigns for agency clients including Canon, CBC, Dare Foods, Hot Wheels, Lavalife and Aim Trimark.
VBDI (now Arnold Interactive) | Senior Designer | March 2000 — March 2003
While at the VBDI, I designed websites and microsites for clients such as Bank of Montréal, Sprint Canada, Atlas Wines, and Canadian Tire.
Earlier experience includes work for PC Financial, The Sony Store, FTD.com and IBM.
SKILLS
My primary graphic design tools are Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, a sketchpad, my Copic pens and my Wacom tablet.
